It was the basis for Kavvanot u-Ma’aseh Nissim (Istanbul, 1720), Shivḥei ha-Ari (printed in Joseph Delmedigo’s Ta’alumot Ḥ okhmah, Basle, (1629–31), and in Emek ha-Melekh by Naphtali Bacharach, (Amsterdam, 1648). It contains older tales adapted to the ARI, as well as tales originating with him historically. Such tales as the t the marriage between a man and a demon, the dibbuk (a spirit or Ghost) which entered a girl’s body, but the supernatural tales found in Toledot ha-Ari are not in Shivḥei ha-Ari, a more conservative view based on the letters of Solomon Shlumil of Dresnitz;

Quotes: <when asked why he didn't write his teachings down, replied> "It is impossible, because all things are interrelated. I can hardly open my mouth to speak without feeling as though the Sea has bust it's dam and overflowed. How then shall I express what my Soul has received, and how can I put it down in a book?" ; Joseph Karo aka "Caro's Maggid is not a soothsayer"; "The Maggid told a lie to Caro when he said the soul of his son Solomon once belonged to Bezalel" , who built the Ark of the Covenant, see ICh2:18;
