Comments: Martinist ; the Rosicrucian inspired Martinez de Pasqually (L'Ordre Martiniste des Elus-Cohen de l'Univers) founded a set of Masonic Rituals around the redemption of the Adamic Man by the 'Reintegration' of it's members. he was followed by Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin and Jean-Baptiste Willermoz who created the chevalric system degrees upon which the philosophical theory was structured; added the Secret Doctrine of the Elus-Cohen in the Rite of the Strict Observance as two rites, “Le Chevalier”/“Knight” and “Le Profès”/“Professed”, making up “La Profession”/“The Profession” level; Bacon de la Chevalerie, Deputy Grand Master of the Elus Cohen, 1767; initiated by Martinez de Pasqually in Verailles, France. the “Rite of the Strict Templar Observance”, 1772. In Germany; Count Weiler, The Duke of Brunswick, 1773 replaces Baron von Hund as head of the Rite of the Strict Observance, Lodge called “Loge Ecossaise Rectifiée ‘La Bienfaisance’”/“Scottish Rectified Lodge ‘Beneficence’”; Rudolphe Salzmann, “Master of the Novices of the Directoire of Strasbourg”, 1777, brings “The Profession” to the Order of the Elus Cohens 1767, with Bacon de la Chevalerie’s blessing, introducing the Secret Doctrine of the Elus-Cohen, Martinism or the Martinist cosmology of Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin and Martinez de Pasqually in the Rite of the Strict Observance. “La Profession”/“The Profession” added “Le Chevalier”/“Knight” and “Le Profès”/“Professed Knight” to the existing Strict Observance Rites. Transformed the Auvergne Province of the Strict Observance and the French Templars into the “Chevaliers Bienfaisants de la Cité Sainte”/“Knights Benefisant of the Holy City”, aka “C.B.C.S.”
