Transcendental Club AKA the "Hedge's Club" AKA "the brotherhood of the 'Like-Minded'";

The New England authors who created Transcendentalism; a philosophy of Nature and Simplicity including: Amos Bronson Alcott; Henry David Thoreau; Ralph Waldo Emerson; Margaret Fuller; Frederick Henry Hedge; George Putnam; Sir George Ripley; Sophia Ripley; Elizabeth Peabody of the Kindergarten mevement; Ellen Sturgis Hooper;

Their influence on American philosophy, religion and Magick was profound. They also influenced politics, women's' rights, prison reform, opposed wars and developed educational reforms. The Boston Freemason Temple, Harvard University and the Unitarian church of Boston were all centers of Transcendentalists; Many of them are buried in Sleepy Hollow;
